Planning for a short holiday!!!!

Oh! Finally I can breathe! Just three days ago, my boss told me to clear my annual leave as I still have remaining 18 days not clear! I was just wondering how should I spend my leave. Coincidentally, my friend L sms me on my phone and asked if I was interested in planning a trip to South Korea for holiday!

I got very excited and told my boss that I will take my annual leave in either end of August or early September, and she was agreeable provided no one request to take leave at the same period.

I began to do my homework, to find out more about South korea and check out cheap tour packages. I went to the library on Saturday with my friend L, loaned books on South Korea and did some surfing on the internet to find out what the tour agencies were offering. Now my main concern is the money and the dates to set off for my holiday!
Anyway, I will discuss further with L and plan a date to the tour agencies to get a good deal!

Road Safety!! Be Careful! Don't be Sorry!!

Hi Hi, I am back! Time flies..... My time at work passed very fast.... In an blink of eye, it is already june!!!!

Sights of horror to share:
On my last night duty, I boarded the bus 72 which were usually packed with people in the late evening. I managed to squeeze in and happened to stand next to the bus driver. While standing, my view was focused on the road. To my horror, I actually saw an elderly lady riding a bicycle on the side of the road, as if the road belonged to her. She was riding at her own pace, swaying from side to side and was oblivious that cars were zooming past her. The way she ride, she was just oblivous to danger that were just lurking around! The bus I was on, was right behind her...Fortunately, the bus driver was alert and consious to road safety.... He actually slowed down and allowed the elderly lady to ride slowly and safely in front before he stopped the bus at the bus stop!!! Phew!! That was close!!! It is very frightening that people do not have any safety consious on the road!!!

Now I finally can stand in my dad's shoes to understand why he never allowed my brother to ride on motorbikes and me travelling by bicycle to work!!! He is very very firm on these rules.. "Why expose yourself to danger when you can avoid!!"

Again, I had another fright in the morning after my night duty.... I promised to buy blood pressure monitoring set for my grandmother's friend, thus I went over to the polyclinic .. While I was waiting to cross the road, I saw an elderly lady standing on the road ( almost middle of the road) waiting to cross over... However it seemed that she had the concept that cars will avoid her .... and worse she actually looked in the opposite direction, The cars were zooming past her with her back facing them. OH my God!!! I was just holding my breath and breaking into cold sweat!!!!! What if she got knocked down and the the driver got charged for causing injuries or death to some one unluckily!!!!
害人害己!!!

luckily she managed to cross the road safety!!!! That was close!!!!

Hanging Around at my own time!!!!

Today is my off day, thus I spent the whole day resting around, surfed the Internet, read my novels and chit chat with one of my friend cum colleague through the phone. I am quite excitable now, as there will be a new colleague joining my wonderful team tomorrow! My colleagues and I are looking forward to know "Her"



Yesterday, I went to watch the movie"Night at the museum 2" with my friends: SC, E, LY and J. I last watched this movie in 2007. Well, the movie was hilarious of course, however I preferred the Ist movie!

I most preferred , of course my favorite animals: The Monkeys!!!!

I had just added the "Slapping Monkeys!" U can join in the fun, Hahahahahaaaaa!!!!!

A very busy Day!!!

Today, I am on afternoon shift ! My afternoon passed in a blink of an eye. My colleague lu lu , Lijie, wendy and I were so busy from 5 pm onwards. Admission started to flow in, Doctors came to review the cases as they were busy in their clinics at the earlier part of the day! Luckily our jobs completed smoothly.

Towards the end of May, 2009, Today is the day that there was one confirmed case of H1N1 flu infection in Singapore. Luckily the flu was well-managed and it was not spreaded around.

Tomorrow is yet another day, let's hope it will be smooth-sailing!!!

My 2nd Big Family

I am back to the Present

It has been two or more years since I last entered my blog. One of my good friend told me that it seems like I just dissappeared from the face of the earth for a period of time.

Well, for one reason, why I dissappeared!!! Reason= Lazy, ++++ excuses!!!!

Just a brief summary of what I have done for these past years:

Since I graduated, I have been busy spending time working, travelling and hanging around with my very very close colleagues and family!

Anyone who read my blog, will be surprised why I said that! There are such things as colleagues, but no one will probably acknowledged "very close colleagues".

Well, I agreed that I will be probably one of the luckiest person on the face of the earth to have a group of wonderful team members at my working place!

While working, they are serious, committed and most importantly they are most valuable team player!

While playing, they are the most crazious, cranky bunch of people I ever know! They enjoy working PLUS they enjoy LIFE!

When I met colleagues: My BOSSES are included!!!

So I enjoy working more than entering my blog!!! HAHA!!!

I have inserted pictures of my colleages and me!!

Hooray!!! I am going for my holiday!!!!!

Finally, today is Sunday morning....... Right now, the time is 0128hrs, 21st of January.......and I am on night shift!

After 0730hrs, it will be the start of my annual leave.....2 weeks(14 days). I will be spending 8 days in Taiwan.... the remaining 6 days, I will spring cleaning my house, preparing for Chinese Lunar New Year!!! I need to take the opportunity to clear my room of all the unwanted items...
Becoz, the unwanted items are making my room look untidy...

Of Coz, for today: Sunday.... After work. to have a shower and rest....
And later, to pack my lugguage bag and to check if there is anything else I need .......and if I require something..... I can still do a last minute shopping...!!!

Is Marriage always a gamble????

I kept asking myself such a question since yesterday!!

Is marriage a gamble........... Whether is one lucky enough to meet someone, whom is willing to spend the whole life devoted to this lawfully wed husband or wife!!!!!

Or One is so unlucky to meet someone who is not willing to commit themselves, but agreed to get married in order to gain something out of the marriage!!!!!

If you all are just wondering why all of a sudden, I have such thinking.......

Well, let me tell you something....... Since the start of 2007..... I have been meeting people who were not faithful to their spouses.........

" Wife having affair with another man just to get back at her husband whom she claimed he too had an affair years ago....."

In my heart....I was thinking........since the wife already know such behaviour was very bad......BUT I was very surprised that just to get back at the person who hurt you...... you too committed the same mistake: Have an affair with another man!!!!!

Till now I can't understand why people tend to commit the same mistake and they were very sure of the consequences!!!!!!

A good night at the movies!!!

Wow, after three night duties, finally my off day(Wednesday) 3rd of Jan had arrived, and I needed a one day break badly......

I had spent the whole day doing nothing but sleeping....and surely it did helped me to gain back certain amount of energy!!! And I was also on medication.... coz I had been having cough for the past one week and still I have not yet recovered from it.......Cough Syrup always make me feel drowsy.....This is the reason why I was able to sleep for such long periods......

At 6.20 pm I received a call from my close friend, SC..... and She reminded that we were supposed to me LY at the Vivo City to catch a movie!!!!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...... Oh my ........ I was late....... I did reminded someone to wake me up...... but she forgot about it........

Anyway, SC and LY arrived there before me and they bought the 9 pm movies ticket and thereafter they had their dinner there......

Whereas for me, I took my dinner at home..... I reached there at about 8 pm..... and we shop around...... till it was time to be sitted in the theatre

The movie we watched was "Night At The Museum"

I rated this movie- A+

Very wonderful performance and a touching and moving storyline..... Most importantly....... very Funny!!!!!

" A New Year 2007!!! "

My first day of the year 2007 was spent at the hospital...... Ha ha..... I am working...... on night duty...... I don't kind of feel excited or extremely happy........ I don't know why??? Maybe I am working..... and maybe because I don't celebrate 1st of January....

But I am looking very very forward to month of January ...... just like I mentioned previously...... I had booked my tour to Taiwan and I will be departing on the 23th and will be returning home on the 31st....... I need a break from working and it is time for me to have a getaway.......
My close friend, LY will be with me on the trip.......

2007-----What lies ahead????

It seemed to be months since I entered my last entry .......... since May till December!!! Today is the 31st December 2006.... and today is my little friend's birthday!!!! Her name is Micaela........

When I am typing my entry.... I am actually working Night Shift @ 0300hrs.... Time flies, One day more..... and it will be a brand new year...... 2007.....

I wish that 2007 will be a good year ahead for me..... for my family, friends and colleagues.....

I will be working tomorrow too on night shift.... So I will be counting down at my work place with my colleague.......

I am also looking forward to my first planned trip to Taiwan in January 2007..... Wish it will be safe, fun and enjoyable.........

Sick and Lethargy

Wow, Today is a cloudy and rainy Mother's day....

I woke up quite late this morning, around 1030hrs, I was so tired, cause I was dragged out of bed, by my mobile phone.... My brother called me at around 0400hrs in the morning to wake me up to open the door for him!!

I was so mad..... Why couldn't he bring his keys when he knows that he will be returning home in the weel hours of the morning!! After opening the door for him, I couldn't fall back asleep, until around 0530 hrs, I managed to doze off to dreamland.....

However, it seems like minutes later, I heard my grandma calling my name and asking me to get up..... She was asking me to go th the doctors, as I am having a bad cough and sore throat....

I got up minutes later, washed myself up and took my breakfast slowly at my own sweet time...
My grandma told me that she was going to the market, and so I left the house, minutes later after she left....
Just as I had reached the void deck of my house, my cousin, JT called me and asked where was grandma....... My uncle , my aunt and JT was here to bring grandma out for lunch to celebrate "Mothers' Day" So we went to the market to search for her, yet in the end she was at home....

So JT accompanied me to see the neighbourhood doctor......After the short consultation, I was given some antibiotics, cough mixture,flu tablets and some lozenges..... Actually JT too was sick , but she did not see the doctor...

In the end, we did not went out for lunch, as today is a celebrative mood, my uncle has good business to do, so my grandma refuse to go and wanted him to go and earn his living....So my uncle just gave her an Ang Bao, and left with my aunt and JT...

After I took the medicine, I was so drowsy that while mopping the floor, I fell asleep standing up....please it is true...... I am not exaggerating....
After mopping the floor, I quickly ironed my brother's army uniform and my clothes...... so that my task can be finished and I can go and rest....

And now since all my task are finished, I should go to bed now and rest....... Wish that tomorrow will be a better day .....

I am back, Finally!!

It had been half a year since I last wrote my last entry !!
Something had happened and it stopped me from typing my blog! At first, I thought it will a fast recovery, but I was wrong..... It took me half a year to regain back my energy and my confidence to type out my daily happenings !!

Hereby, I shall apologize and thank my friends, who took pains to remind me that I had stopped writting my blog for a long time, and it is due time for me to forget about the whole incident and life have to go on!

Well, for starters, I had finished my exam and my PRCP attachments and now I returned to my sponsor and started working.... Everyone was surprised that I started work so early without any holidays break! But I am satisfied enough to start work , as I will be getting back my usual pay, instead of a student's one!!

Anyway, I was sent to a very comfortable working environment and my colleagues are all very nice people, they are very patient with me and ensuring that I had a comfortable time at work...
So I am very thankful for that!!

My next goal will be to be able to work independently for next days to come .... and to be polite and thankful to everyone for their guidance....

That's for all... I will be entering more.......

A boring attachment period!!!

I had started my nursing attachment in hospital for one week and two days, it was kind of " Sian!" ( It means boring and tiring!)

I had wake up at 0500hrs if I am in the morning shift, cause the bus journey from my home to the hospital will take about 1 1/2 hrs..

And now, our afternoon shift starting time of had changed from 1300hrs to 1330 hrs and going home at 2130hrs instead of 2100hrs...

Nowadays, I will reached home at 2300hrs if I am in the afternoon shift!!!!

P.S. Hope Tomorrow will be a better day!!!

A good day at Sentosa, Singapore!!

Today, I woke up very early to get myself ready for the day. I am going to Sentosa with my two close friends L and M, we had known one another for almost 11 years. As my two friends also stayed in the same neighbourhood as me, we met up with one another and went to Sentosa by the north-east line MRT. We reached Harbour Front at around 1030hrs, and had our breakfast at a food centre near the Harbour front bus interchange. After we had finished our breakfast, we proceeded to board the bus that will bring us into Sentosa.

Sentosa is an island that lies just half a kilometre (a quarter of a mile) away from the southern coast of the main island of Singapore. It is considered as Singapore's premier island resort getaway with multi-faceted appeal, teeming with events all year round.

We reached the island at around 1055hrs, and we went on to buy the admission tickets and the bus ticket which cost us S$3/- . We took a map and began our exploration on the island, There are 4 colours line buses that help us to get around the island; Blue, Yellow, Green and Red. We first boarded the blue line and see when will it bring us to.

At first, we wanted to go to the volcanoland, but it was not opened yet, so went on walking to see which attraction we can go..

The first attractions which we went, was the artists village. It was a small house that had many workshop rooms for the artist to draw and design their art pieces.. We were unable to understand the artist's point of view but still we enjoy their art work.

Then we went on to the Beach, there are altogether 4 beaches: Siloso, Palawan, Dolphin lagoon and Tanjong beach, strolling down the beach in "black T-shirt" So warm!! There was a long bridge leading to another small island, it was known as the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia, we lingered around there for a while, then went on strolling on the beach... It was a Saturday, and it is also considered as Family Day in Singapore, there was alot of families playing games organized by different organizations...... Later we came across a strange looking 'thing" There were no young men sitting on and turning round and round , some sort of like a " merry-go-round" . There were only enough room for 4 persons, as there were only three of us, it seems unbalance turning.... So each of us got down by turns, leaving only two persons sitting and then pushed hard...... It was fun going round, but later I felt giddy and call it quits.....

After the merry-go-round, we then tried to get out from the beach , but we had no idea, which bus to take, so we went on a beach tram and it sent us to the bus stop!!! We then took the bus bus and went to the Cable car Arrival plaza. when we got there, we wanted to try out the Sentosa luge : it consisted of Chairlift that is another form of cable car, except it is much lower and is opened to the surroundings.... and it also consist of a luge ride, which we had to put on head helmets and it seemed as a board with wheels and it was easy to drive!!! So much Fun we had there......

Later we procceded to the tickets counter to purchase a sentosa package!!

After we had purchased our packages, we went to have our lunch at the Subway restaurant, and it was sumptous feast...

we first start with the Carlsberg sky tower tour, Asia's tallest observation tower at 135cm and it moves 360 degrees, a fine experiences!!

On the way to the merlion tower, the surroundings consisted of many pools and fountain, I managed to trick M and she was " wetten" by me!! haha!!!(splashing water at her!!)

Then we moved on to the merlion tower, seeing unknown sea creatures, watching a cartoon video of history of Singapore, later we managed to go to the top and the mouth of the merlion to view the expansive surroundings of Sentosa. Upon admission, we were given two tokens and as we exit the merlion, we inserted the coin into a four- headed lions heads and received a small gift... a keychain!!
Before we left the merlion, there was Delifrance, and we made use of our package to collect our light snacks...... then we went on to the next attractions, Volcanoland!!!
As the snacks was getting messy, L & M finished the food at the Volcanoland, and they finished my portion as I was still very full.

The vocanoland consist of models of different types of dinosaurs and there were education on the bones of the dinosaurs, there were also multiple sensory exploration inside the vocanoland!!

We then proceeded to the cinemania, before we queue fot the ride, each of us bought a T-shirt, "Cinemania". Then it was time to start the ride, we experienced armchair ride through tunnels and steep slope at fast speed!! This was more for children, for us, it seems alright!!

After this, we then went to tour the Orchid gardens and it was free of charge, We relax in this colourful garden, with a pool full of koi fishes...

Our last attractions we visited, was the Magical Show at the musical fountain, There were lights, sound and lasers and it turned out to be wonderful and beautiful ,there was also the Sentosa monkey Kiki!!! The three of us best enjoyed this show, it was really magical!! However, it started raining heavily through the half of the show, and luckily, we brought along our umbrellas and stayed on to finish the show!!!!

After the magical show, we decided it was late, and we had to return home, so we embarked our last journey in Sentosa, took the green line bus and proceeded to the cable car station.... There were 4 stations.... Sentosa-->Harbour front building-->Mount faber-->Harbourfront buiding --->Sentosa, however we sat to mount faber and harbour front building , and then we walked to the MRT station.....

It was fun but tiring, and luckily we had Sunday to rest!!!

P.S. We spent almost S$70/-plus just alone in Sentosa, and we had not finished all the attractions which the island have offered!!!

Majong day!!!

Today is a beautiful day.......but the weather today was not ideal for outing, so I stayed at home!!!! I began the day by first clearing my messy study table.... cause my exam was finally over and it is time to have fun!!!Everyone in the house kept complaining of feeling stuffy and warm..... So we switched on the air-condition in my dad's room. ( The only room with air-con in the entire house!)
After I had tidy up my room, I was kind of feeling bored.... So I read some story books. newspapers, watched Television programmes....but after a while, I was tired and there was no more mood to continue what I was doing.....
Later, something came into my mind..... MAJONG!!! I had not play that for urges.... the last time I touched the game was during the Lunar Chinese New Year.... And Today, my two aunts were at home for the holidays, my brother was at home too....So I suggested that and they all agreed to play...
Hours later, I began to regret playing MAJONG!! Cause I was lossing money, both my aunts were also losing money!!! ( All three of us were losing to a person) ------> My brother!!!
We decided that we had to do something to change his luck, so we called our cousin K over!!! My cousin K is one person very good at playing majong!!!
We thought that our luck was going to change, but unfortunately......our luck still remained as bad as ever!!!! We still lost, my cousin K lost too!!! -----> to him( MY BROTHER)My brother won around $70/- plus!!!
But I am the luckiest to lose only $ 10/- They lost around $ 20/- plus!!!
P.S. The moral of the story tells you > Never play majong with a young man who is stll in army!!!!!
